What Fuels Jibe?

What fuels us? You mean besides a passion for developing great, cutting-edge recruiting software? Well, last week at our 2014 kickoff meeting, we found out. Our team put together the following graphic showing just which start-up snacks and Seamless orders trumped all others through 2013. Take a look.
That’s a lotta grub, right there. Seems we may need to up our milk quotient in 2014 though…
I’m sure all those snacks helped, but what really fueled Jibe’s phenomenal growth over the past year? A year in which we more than doubled our client base, fueled by advances in our mobile and desktop apply offerings. A year in which we introduced Recruiting Analytics, the first-ever big data analytics solution specifically designed for talent acquisition teams. A year in which that solution was honored by being named one of only six (out of more than 50 entrants) “Awesome New Technologies for HR” at the annual HR Technology Conference. A year that saw more than 400,000 job postings powered by our job distribution offering, Jibe Post. And a year that ended with a move into our new 14,000 square foot headquarters in New York City’s West Village.
All of that couldn’t have been due to mass consumption of yogurt, could it? No, of course not.
Here’s another metric from 2013: Our employee base grew by an astounding 244%, which helps explain why the 2,000 square foot office space we previously occupied just wasn’t cutting it anymore. These employees are what truly fueled our growth in 2013.
The core team that founded Jibe a few years back is brilliant about a lot of things, but one of the things they’re best at is finding quality people and assembling top teams across the board. Considering that Jibe is in the business of building recruiting software to help companies hire better, that’s a very good thing.
So yes, it’s the team here — not the snacks — that has contributed to the company’s growth and success up to this point more than anything else. That, and the great, consultative partnerships we have with our clients, who give us front-line input about the challenges they face every day.
Of course, we’re also helped along by a little bit of ping pong now and then…

Last week’s annual meeting gave us all a chance to look back at what had been accomplished in 2013, but the coolest part of the day was looking ahead and realizing that we’ve only just begun.
In 2014, Jibe is all about people. Not just the people here, but the people we’re building solutions for – recruiters, hiring managers, talent acquisition teams and job seekers alike. We’re committed to making their lives easier by arming them with the most advanced, innovative tools and technology our amazing development team can come up with.
And all we need to help us is a little more milk. Let’s go.
