Founder, CEO & Director
Joe Essenfeld is the Founder and CEO of Jibe. Prior to starting Jibe, Joe was COO of Insomnia Cookies, where he was responsible for hiring hundreds of employees. It was his experiences with those hires that led him to start Jibe. Beyond Joe’s hands-on hiring experience, his relationships with senior recruitment executives at the Fortune 1000 have shaped the recruiting solutions Jibe has built.
Joe received his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University and currently resides in New York City with his wife and daughter.
Brian Cook heads up the finance and legal teams at Jibe. A seasoned CFO and business leader, Brian’s expertise is in working with late-stage venture backed businesses, shaping their financial team and business processes. Most recently, he was CFO at TOA Technologies, where he led the Finance, HR, Legal and Administration teams. Before that, he held CFO and senior management positions in technology, media and investment banking, taking companies through IPOs or mergers and acquisitions in the United States and Europe.
When not working, Brian enjoys mountain sports in all seasons and adventures with his wife and two sons… when they aren’t working.
Mark Bissell leads all non-sales functions at Jibe, including customer and technical operations. A veteran of the enterprise HR software industry, most recently Mark was Vice President of Customer Success at WeSpire, a cloud-based employee engagement platform. Before that, he was Vice President of Customer Value and Renewals at SuccessFactors, where he also held various leadership roles over more than eight years culminating with the $3.4B acquisition by SAP.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Mark currently lives in the Greater Boston Area with his wife and 2 children.
SVP of Sales
Mike Liddell leads the sales organization at Jibe. Mike joined Jibe from Thinking Phone Networks, Cambridge MA., where he managed overall sales and marketing as Executive Vice President. Mike was previously president and CEO of Mobitrac, Inc, a leading transportation industry SaaS company. Prior to Mobitrac, Mike served as COO of AccelChip, Inc, an electronic design automation software (EDA) company serving the semiconductor industry. In addition, Mike has an extensive investment background, including co-founding NetFuel Ventures, a premier seed-stage venture capital company.
Mike holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Michigan State University.
Dave Wright heads up the technology side of Jibe. A seasoned business and technology leader, Dave is an innovator with expertise in building intelligent decision support systems for enterprise operations. Most recently he was Chief Architect at LiveIntent driving real time interpretation of user intent signals within a marketing funnel. Dave was also Chief Architect at Kronos for a number of years, steering the technical directions as part of a >$1B recapitalization.
Dave is an avid hiker who loves the outdoors, and enjoys learning old songs and new techniques on the guitar.
VP of Engineering
Boris Kozak leads client integrations and the engineering team based in our Washington, D.C. office. Before joining Jibe in 2011, Boris was a Senior Consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton where he was the Lead ASP.net developer. While at Booz Allen Hamilton, Boris lead the development of a web application for Homeland Defense used by the Army and National Guard to prepare for and respond to domestic emergencies.
Outside of the office, Boris is an avid snowboarder, adventurer and amateur photographer, and he is frequently seen snapping photos of the Jibe team.
VP of Product
Matt is the head of product and customer success at Jibe. He’s responsible for making sure Jibe ships the right products at the most opportune times, while ensuring Jibe’s customers receive the most value from its solutions. Before Jibe, Matt was the Director of Product at SNP-AG where he built software to transform ERP systems after M&A, restructuring and divesting activity. Matt holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from Muhlenberg College and Stevens Institute of Technology, respectively.
When he’s not knee deep in data science, Matt’s experimenting in the kitchen or attempting to win in organized sports against athletes a decade his junior.
