Responsibilities-

-Write and/or assign features and daily stories for a major entertainment news site

-Support and help coordinate live online events: award show coverage, film fests, livestreams, feature packages

-Write high-quality, professional and entertaining celebrity-related articles

-Monitor assigned topic areas and pitch/write daily stories

-Copyedit written material as necessary

-Work with other writers in the group to brainstorm larger packages

-Select photos and write captions for high-profile galleries

-Meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment

Qualifications/Requirements-
Basic Qualifications:

-Minimum 3 years writing features and daily stories for a major entertainment news site

-Experience assigning features and daily stories to full time and freelance writers

-Experience with copy editing

Eligibility Requirements:

-Must be able to provide writing samples

-Must be willing to perform a writing/editing test

Desired Characteristics-

-Strong knowledge of the celebrity and pop culture space, esp. movies and music

-Experience using custom CMS or similar publishing tools a plus

-Strong editorial voice and writing style a must
